On July 31, 2013, while on duty, it is alleged Deputy Robert Craig returned telephone call to an individual for the purpose of purchasing an illegal narcotic, steroids. However, unbeknownst to Deputy Craig, the individual he was contacting was a Confidential Informant (CI) and their conversation was being recorded.

During the controlled call, Deputy Craig agreed to purchase two (2) vials of testosterone propionate for $150.00, for himself, and one (1) vial of Supertest for $75.00, for a friend. Deputy Craig and the CI negotiated to meet on either August 7th or 8th; however, the transaction never transpired due to Deputy Craig canceling the order with the CI.
